Abstract
MANET is a rapidly emerging mobile communication technology which offers fruitful services in various fields like military battle field, emergency services, entertainment, sensor networks, home and internetworking etc., It has a dynamically changing nodes with a de-centralized administration. Experimentation on such network is time consuming and cost effective. Various simulation tools are available to check the performance of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. We will be discussing about some of the commonly used simulation tools and the types of MANET in this paper.
