Abstract

Agricultural SMEs is the set of small and medium-sized enterprises that generate jobs supply the demand for agricultural products. They are made up of natural resources and capital that has external and internal factors that condition production; face the growing globalization of markets. Since the 2008 constitution, agriculture in Ecuador is considered as a strategic objective for the country's growth and development; The agricultural value of their assets (soil, water, climate) are part of this objective, policies, programs, projects and incentives have been established that allow agricultural SMEs to insert themselves into regional and national planning, however they have difficulties Of an internal nature that prevents them from taking advantage of the opportunities of national planning. The objective of the research is to identify the problems presented by agricultural SMEs in the province of Los Ríos, Ecuador, to insert in the regional and national planning, the methodology applied with the purpose of promoting the development of agricultural SMEs in the province of Los Ríos -Ecuador, is based on workshops, discussion tables, brainstorms involving the actors involved the decentralized Autonomous Government, the University, agricultural SME entrepreneurs, citizen watchers and parish boards, the results show that Agricultural SMEs in the province of Los Ríos, Ecuador; The administrative management they develop does not allow them to be competitive and stay in the market in order to be able to market their products, financing and obtain profits.
