Journal Policies

Publication ethics and malpractice statement

The International Journal of Science and Engineering Invention (IJSEI) follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Council of Science Editors (CSE) to ensure publication ethics and prevent malpractice. The journal requires authors to submit original research that has not been published elsewhere, disclose any conflicts of interest, and properly cite all sources used in their manuscript. The double-blind peer-review process ensures unbiased feedback from reviewers. Any allegations of publication misconduct are thoroughly investigated, and the journal reserves the right to take necessary actions such as retracting the article. By submitting their work to IJSEI, authors agree to adhere to the journal's ethical standards.

Open Access (OA)

The International Journal of Science and Engineering Invention (IJSEI) is an open access journal, which means that all articles published in the journal are freely available to readers without any subscription or paywall barriers. This increases the visibility and impact of the research, leading to potential collaborations and further advancements in the field.

Publication Frequency

All papers are published as soon as they have been accepted, by adding them to the "Current Volume".

Copyright & licensing

The International Journal of Science and Engineering Invention (IJSEI) operates under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This means that authors retain the copyright of their published work while allowing others to copy, distribute, and make use of the work as long as proper attribution is given to the original author(s). This open licensing policy ensures that research articles are widely accessible and can be read and cited by a larger audience, including researchers, policymakers, and the general public.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network, the Global LOCKSS Network and Portico to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Plagiarism Policy

The International Journal of Science and Engineering Invention (IJSEI) has a strict policy against plagiarism in all submitted manuscripts. IJSEI uses iThenticate, a plagiarism detection software, to screen all submissions for potential plagiarism. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Any text, figures, tables, or other material taken from other sources must be properly cited and permission must be obtained from the copyright owner. In cases where plagiarism or copyright infringement is suspected, IJSEI will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include rejection of the manuscript.

Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal of a manuscript from the IJSEI journal is only allowed under exceptional circumstances, such as in case of ethical issues or errors discovered in the manuscript. The corresponding author must provide a written request for withdrawal to the editor, explaining the reason for the withdrawal. If the manuscript has already been published online, the request for withdrawal will be treated as a retraction. In case of withdrawal or retraction, the manuscript will be removed from the journal's website and databases, but the metadata will still be available. The author(s) will be held responsible for any consequences arising from the withdrawal or retraction of a manuscript.

Human and animal rights

The International Journal of Science and Engineering Invention (IJSEI) requires that authors comply with ethical standards related to human and animal rights in research. For studies involving humans or animals, authors must follow the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki or International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research Involving Animals, respectively. IJSEI upholds the welfare of human and animal subjects and may request proof of ethical approval.
